Protect Cake: Secret Santa Game
    AKA CakeDog
----------------------------

Welcome to cakedog. This game was created for Jacques Waller for his GDDC Secret Santa gift. The purpose of this game was during the winter break, members of the UofT Game Design and Development Club made games for other members of the club based on themes that each member contributed. I got Jacques, whose themes were puppies, cake, and soccer, thus, CAKEDOG was made. The code for this game was made in the span of a few hours, and is based off of my previous GMD game Scab (borrowing and heavily modifying the physics used for that game).

Your goal in this game is, as the puppy, to protect the various cakes which pop up from the ground from being hit by oncoming soccer balls. You do this by hitting them off the screen with your head. Use the arrow keys to move your puppy around and jump to hit the balls away if they are about to hit a cake. Try to survive as long as possible!

Game code and art was created and is owned by Daniel Steger
Graphics engine used is the SDL engine
music is "Started" by djskeba and is liscenced under creative commons
